Award Point System

There are three tiers to this award:

  • Yellow Banana: Students that contribute significant time and energy to shape our faculty community, strengthen our work, and support peers. Students of this honour will receive a printed award, physical medallion, and an invitation to celebrate after convocation.
  • Black Banana: Students who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and leadership through sustained contributions that meaningfully shape our faculty community, strengthen our work, and support peers. Students of this honour will receive a printed award, physical medallion, an invitation to celebrate after convocation, and a reference letter from the Dean, Faculty of Environment.

To be awarded any of the tiers, students will declare leadership or volunteer position title(s), hours contributed to each position, their impact on the community (how it relates to the award categories), and a Faculty or Staff contact for verification.
